ALSENZ - HERMANN - HOFFMAN
My Comal County ancestors were HOFFMAN, Peregrin and Wilhelmina.
They lived and died in New Braunfels. Their second daughter,
Sophia Hermine b 30 July 1832 married 29 May 1853
ALSENZ, Johann (John) b 16 Nov 1830 in Ober Ingelheim, Germany,
the son of Anna Barbara Hermann and Johann Adam ALSENZ.
The father, Johan, was killed 13 Feb 1848 in the Mexican War near
Mexico City. They came on the Talisman in 1846.
The Alsenz family moved to Cherokee County KS where they lived the
rest of their lives.

I have been to the town the Soechtings emmigrated from here in Germany,
and found them living in the same house great-great grandpa came from.
My mother wants me to research Preusser, but haven't had the time to do so.
