Tomas Marquez, a Vietnam War Army veteran, a member of St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Aransas Pass and former owner of Carr's Cleaners in Aransas Pass, died May 1, 2007. He was 66.

Survivors include his wife, Suzet; two sons, Charles Fox of Gatesville and William Marquez of Snyder; a daughter, Yasmin Marquez of Corpus Christi; his mother, Manuela Marquez of Rockport; three brothers, Milton Marquez of Aransas Pass, Jerry Marquez of Ingleside and Leo Marquez of Corpus Christi; two sisters, Mary Moreno of San Antonio and Cecelia Benavidez of Newport News, Va.; and three grandchildren.
