COKER, Alex, Beeville Bee, 28 Aug 1898:

Alex Coker, an old citizen of Live Oak county, died last Sunday night and was buried 
Tuesday.  He was 71 years of age and had been a resident of Live Oak County for many 
years.  

His funeral was attended by a large number of his confederate comrades, several attending 
from this place.  

By his request he was buried by Donaldson Camp Confederate Veterans.
