GOFF, Mrs. Susan, Beeville Bee, 5 Aug 1898:

Mrs. Susan Goff, the aged mother of Mrs. A. McKinney, Mrs. Sadie Hall and Mrs. Mary Capen, 
died at the home of the latter in this city on Tuesday night.  

Her death was unexpected as 
she had eaten supper with the family and seemed in good spirits.  During the night her 
daughter was attracted by her heavy breathing and found her near her end.  

She had passed her 70th birthday and had been a resident of this section for many years.
