GREGORY, Mrs. Laura J., Beeville Bee, 28 Aug 1899:

Mrs. Laura J. Gregory, an old and esteemed citizen of Corpus Christi, who was visiting her son, 
died in this city last Saturday morning at the residence of Charles J. Gregory, after an illness of 
about ten days.  The remains were taken to Corpus Christi and interred in the family burial plot 
Saturday morning.  

The deceased was in her 64th year and was a native of Georgia, coming to 
Texas with her husband, Dr. J. J. Gregory in 1867 and settling in Cameron, Milam County in 1879.  
She moved to Corpus Christi, where she has resided and where her husband died in 1882.  

She leaves 6 children to mourn her death.  Charles H. of Beeville, William H. of Rogers, Bell Co., 
John J. of Bee County, Robert L. of Toronto, Canada, Mrs. H. E. Luter of Corpus Christi and 
B. T. of Beeville.  

Mrs. Gregory was a lifetime member of the Methodist Church.
