JACOBS, Florence Ovila, Beeville Picayune, Friday, 17 May 1912:

Mrs. Florence Ovila Jacobs died at the family residence in North Beeville last 
Saturday morning, May 11th and was interred in the new cemetery (Glenwood) 
Sunday a. m. at 9:30 o'clock. 

She was the wife of L. Jacobs and besides her husband leaves nine children, 
four boys and five girls, and one granddaughter who has lived with the family 
for some time, to mourn her untimely death, which resulted from typhoid fever. 

She was forty three years, eight months and one day old. Mrs. Jacobs was a 
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Putman Shipp, deceased, her mother having preceded 
her to the great beyond but three months ago. The Picayune extends sympathy 
to the bereaved.
