KRING, Lucille, Beeville Bee, 21 Jul 1899: A very deplorable accident occurred at the residence of Mrs. P. A. Jones, six miles west of the city last Friday morning. Mrs. Henry Kring of this city with her children was on a visit to her mother, Mrs. Jones. Sidney Smith, a brother of Mrs. Kring, accompanied by his brothers, was hauling watermelons from the field to feed the hogs when the wagon was stopped in the yard for a few minutes. In the meantime little Lucille, a daughter of Mrs. Kring, and aged about 18 months, crawled upon the rear wheel of the wagon unobserved by the driver or any member of the family. As the wagon moved off the child was thrown to the ground, striking its head on the hard earth and dislocating its neck. The funeral occurred Saturday morning, the burial taking place in the Beeville cemetery.
