Mrs. W. T. Lilius, nee Miss Gertrude Hollinshead, died at her home in Bishop last Saturday morning at 2 o'clock 
after an illness extending over a few days and which was not thought serious until the end. The mother, Mrs. B. B. 
Holllinshead, of this city was preparing to leave for Bishop the next day when news of her daughter's death was 
conveyed to her. It was a great shock. 

Mrs. Lilius was married last year while she and Mr. Lilus were both residents of Beeville and employed at the Hunter 
Hardware Store. She had long made her home here and before her marriage to Mr. Lilius had been married to a 
Mr. Davis, and to this union there were two children born, both of whom are living with her at Bishop.

The remains were brought to Beeville Saturday afternoon and the interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery Sunday 
morning at 10:30 o'clock. The service being held from the home of Mrs. Hollinshead and were largely attended by 
sorrowing relatives and friends.

The Picayune extends deepest sympathy to the bereaved mother, children and husband.
