LOGSDON, Dr. F. M., Beeville Bee, 22 Jun 1900: Dr. Logsdon Dead. The End Came Peacefully on Monday Morning. Dr. F. M. Logsdon, one of the leading physicians of the city, a man of learning and a thorough Christian gentleman, passed peacefully away and mourned by all at 5 o’clock last Sunday morning. He had been in bad health for some time but with indefatigable energy and will brought against his malady until last Wednesday evening, when he made his last professional call and repaired to his home to await the last summons, which he knew was not far distant. On Sunday morning, surrounded by his wife and children, his aged mother, his sister and several warm personal friends, he passed peacefully away. Dr. Logsdon was a native of Hopkins County, Texas but when 10 years old, removed with his parents to Indiana where he was educated. He graduated in medicine and returned to Texas in his early manhood and entered the practice of his profession. In 1893, on account of failing heath, he removed to Beeville where he has since resided and where, by his gentlemanly qualities, he gathered around him a host of warm friends. He was in the 45th year of his age at the time of his death and leaves a wife, two sons and a daughter. The funeral occurred Monday morning, attended by a large concourse of friends and the local lodge of Woodsmen of the World of which he was a charter member.
