MAXWELL, C. C., Beeville Bee, 10 Aug 1900: Mrs. F. E. Joiner received the sad intelligence last Saturday evening from Ganado of the death of her son-in-law, C. C. Maxwell, a businessman of that place. The deceased had been ill about 24 hours and the news of his death was a shock to his wife’s relatives here. Mr. Maxwell is remembered by many in this city where he married Miss Minnie Joiner in 1892. At the time he was in the employ of the Pacific Railway, but soon after quit the railroad service and went into business in San Antonio, and afterwards in Ganado. His wife and two children survive him.
