MURPHY, Mrs. Margaret, Beeville Bee, 4 Jan 1895:

Mrs. Margaret Murphy, one of the oldest residents of this county died last 
Friday night in this city at the residence of her son C. Murphy, at the advanced 
age of 82 years.  

Her remains were carried to Refugio the following day and interred beside 
those of her husband in the cemetery of the Old Mission Church.  

Mrs. Murphy was a native of Cork, Ireland whence she migrated in 1858, 
following her husband who came to Texas in 1850 to build a home for his family.  
He first settled at the Irish Colony of San Patricio, but shortly afterwards moved to 
Bee County where the family has resided and where Mr. Murphy died in 1880.  

Mrs. Murphy leaves 3 children, Con and Martin Murphy and Mrs. W. M. Ware, 
a well-known Citizen of this County.
