LUCY REAGAN MOORE Lucy Reagan Moore, 91, passed away on July 19, 2009. She was born on September 22, 1917 to L.A. (Rocky) Reagan and Eula Cleveland Reagan. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Beeville, active in the choir, Women of the Church, as well as all activities of the church. Attended SMU where she majored in voice and music. She held a private pilot license for many years and participated in the Powder Puff Derby Cross Country Race as co-pilot. Lucy was receptionist for the Reagan Doctors for many years. A member of Texas Cattlewomen and served as president of Brush Country Cattlewomen and Texas Cattlewomen. Lucy served as a trustee on the American National Cattlewomen Foundation for six years. Lucy was the only person to ever receive special outstanding Cattlewomen Award from the Texas Cattlewomen. Lucy was invited to perform with seven other Texas ranch girls at the Ft. Worth Rodeo in 1939. She and Paul were involved in the Beeville Rodeo where they were responsible for the Quarter Horse Show for many years. Lucy, Paul, and their two sons, Thad and Richard ranched in Live Oak County many years where they raised White Brahman Cattle. She was an accomplished Horse Woman and Rider and an excellent shot. Lucy was an important part of a prominent South Texas ranching family. Anyone who knew Lucy knew her love for her family, hunting, fishing, and ranching. Lucy always listed her occupation as rancher. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Paul Moore; sister, Mary Louise Cheatham; brothers, Flourney (Mutt) Reagan, Rocky Reagan, Jr., and Robert (Bob) Reagan. Lucy is survived by two sons, Thad Reagan Moore and wife D’Netta Moore of South Padre Island and Richard Leroy Moore and wife Candy Moore of Carmine; two grandsons, Robert Sean Odom of Houston and Logan Woodrow Moore of Houma, LA; one granddaughter, Sallee Freeman of Hawaii; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marjorie Bledsoe of Oakville and Evelyn Seals of Beeville and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation was held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at Galloway & Sons Chapel in Beeville, TX. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Galloway & Sons Chapel. Interment will follow at Beeville Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Scott Bledsoe, III, Mark Bledsoe, Rocky Reagan, III, Rocky Bob Reagan, Wesley Reagan, Campbell Patton, Jack Seals, Jr. and Patrick Seals.
