Allsup, Laura, Beeville Bee, Thursday, 5 Dec 1889:

Departed This Life.  At her home in Bee County at 3 o’clock AM last Friday, Miss Laura, 
daughter of T. H. Allsup, after an illness of 75 days.  She bore her long suffering with 
remarkable patience and Christian fortitude while her anxious father, sisters and brothers 
with untiring watchfulness administered to her wants.  She has been a member of the 
Beeville Baptist church for 6 years, having given her heart to the Savior at age of 14.  
She was not permitted to reach her 20th birthday, yet we feel sure our loss is her eternal gain.
