Mrs. Maggie BARNES, wife of B. H. BARNES, of Cuero, died at this place on Aug. 17. Mr. BARNES requests me to 
tender his sincere thanks to the people of Beeville for the sympathy and kind attention manifested toward his 
companion during her brief stay here. Sister BARNES was a devoted Christian.  Bro. BARNES has been schooled 
in the school of Christ, and knows on whom to lean for support. Five children remain to mourn the loss of a mother.  

May the lord comfort the bereaved family.
