BILEFIELD, Mrs., Beeville Bee, Friday, 3 April 1903:

Berclair, Texas, March 30.
Mrs. BILEFIELD, an aged lady, was burned to death at her home here this morning. 
She was eating breakfast and was sitting too close to the stove. Her skirts were ignited 
and before the nearest neighbors attracted by her savants, reached her all the clothing 
was burned from her body and her flesh was frightfully scorched. 

She died after several hours of great agony.
