CANNON, R. C., Beeville Bee, Friday, 16 Sep 1904:

R. C. CANNON, a resident of Beeville for the past fifteen years, died at his home on 
Tuesday night while his aged mother lay on a bed in an adjacent room, herself at 
death's door. 

The deceased was a native of Warren county Kentucky where he was born 
Sept. 25, 1851, thus lacking but a few days of being fifty-three years of age. 
In 1889 he moved to Beeville for his health, bringing his aged mother with him 
and being afflicted with consumption, has been handicapped in the battle of life. 
For several years he has been conducting a real estate business in a small way and 
acting as agent for non-resident landlords and in this latter capacity has been always 
faithful to the confidence reposed in him. By his death his aged mother is left without 
the least semblance of support.
