Death of P. J. CAVANAUGH.
News was received from Altus, Oklahoma Wednesday afternoon of the death on that 
Monday of P. J. Cavanaugh, an old and well known citizen of Beeville who has been 
residing in that place for several years past as representative of the New York Life 
Insurance Co.  

The telegram stated that Mr. Cavanaugh died suddenly and it is supposed to have 
occurred from rheumatism of the heart, a malady from which he had long been a sufferer.  
Friends who had recently heard from him were appraised that he had been suffering 
this winter from repeated attacks of this disease.  

Instructions have been forwarded to have his remains sent to Beeville for interment and 
they will probably arrive this afternoon. They will be taken to the residence of Walter TEAL 
and funeral held from the Catholic Church tomorrow.
