COOK, J. W., Beeville Bee, Thursday, 21 Mar 1889:

Died at the home of her youngest son, Mr. J. W. Cook, March 17, 1889, 
Mrs. Mary Cook, age 84 years, from Neuralgia of the Heart.  Deceased was a 
native of South Carolina, came to Texas 45 years ago and has been a native 
of Bee Co. since 1861.  She was a consistent member of the Methodist Episcopal 
church since her youth and leaves a large circle of friends and relatives to mourn 
her death.  Her surviving children are C. Cook, Seguin, Mrs. C. M. Sidburry, 
Corpus Christi, F. M. Cook, Martindale, Mrs. C. C. Cook, Brown County, and 
J. W. Cook of Beeville.
