CORRIGAN, Mrs. Myrtle, Beeville Bee or Picayune, Thursday. 29 Jan 1914, Front Page: The angel of death came Sunday at 9:55 p. m. and claimed the soul of Mrs. Myrtle Corrigan., wife of Edgar J. Corrigan, who had lingered for days between life and death, while all that loving hands and nurses and physicians could do was done to stay the Grim Reaper. Deceased was born in Sinton, San Patricio County, and at the time of her death was 29 years, 4 months and 18 days old. Much of her young life was spent in Bee County at Cadiz, where her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. I. Quinn, resided for several years and where she attended school. She was married in Beeville to Edgar J. Corrigan on February 3, 1906 and besides her husband is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. I. Quinn of Austwell, four sisters, Mrs. Fred Whitworth, of Tivoli, Mrs. E. C. McCullom of Austwell and Misses Sallie and Fannie Quinn of Austwell and two brothers, Ellis M. Quinn, of this city and Louis Quinn of Austwell. Two children preceded her to the Great Reward. Before her'marriage decedent was a popular young lady of this city and though she has resided here but a short while, there are still hosts of friends residing here who remember her as a girl and who loved her and grieve with her parents and relatives in her untimely death. Mr. and Mrs. Corrigan lived for four years at Cananea, Mexico after their marriage but have been in Texas for the past four years residing at different places until about six months ago when they moved to their residence property is west Beeville. The remains were laid to rest Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock with funeral services at St. Joseph's Church and interment in the Catholic Cemetery.
