Lagarto Locals.  It is with sorrowful feeling we have to chronicle the death of 
Mrs. M. Cox, mother of our county Judge, C. C. Cox, who died in Kentucky on 
the 10th of April inst.  If she had lived to the 21st of next December, she would 
have reached the advanced age of 100 years.  We knew her from our childhood 
and a noble Christian woman through all those years.  For 27 years she has been 
confined to her bed. She was a consistent member of the Catholic Church and a 
host of relatives friends will mourn her loss.
