DOUGHERTY, Henderson Haraldson, Beeville Bee, Friday, 3 May 1901:

Mr. and Mrs. J. Chrys DOUGHERTY have the sympathy of their many friends and the entire 
community in the sad bereavement they sustained Wednesday night May 1st, in the death 
of their first and only child, Henderson Haraldson. 

The little fellow was born Nov. 25, 1899, a remarkably bright child, and a favorite with all who 
knew him. He was precocious to a remarkable degree, and gave promise, had he lived, of a 
splendid mentality. Accompanied by numerous sorrowing and sympathizing friends of the 
bereaved young couple, his little body, yet perfect and beautiful in death, was laid to rest in 
the new cemetery yesterday afternoon, the funeral services being conducted at the Presbyterian 
church by Rev. S. M. LUCKETT.
