The sad intelligence of the death of J. M Doughty at Gertrudis Ranch reached here Wednesday.  
Deceased was an old and highly respected citizen of this section and for many years a resident 
of Rockport.  He has two children living in this city, Mrs. Don Teas and Mrs. E. P. Eidson.  Mr. 
and Mrs. Eidson went down to Gertrudis Saturday and were with Mr. Doughty at the time of his 
death.  Mr. and Mrs. Teas left Wednesday evening to attend the funeral, which took place in 
Alice yesterday.
