EEDS, Mrs. Margaret Ann, Beeville Bee, Friday, 26 Apr 1901 Mrs. Margaret Ann EEDS, wife of ex-county clerk Reuben C. EEDS, residing at Cadiz, died at that place last Sunday afternoon the 21st at 1 o'clock, after an illness of more than a month, and was buried in the new cemetery at Beeville on Monday morning at half past 8 o'clock. The deceased was in her 56th year, born Oct. 1, 1844 and was a native of Alabama, and moved to Beeville with her husband in 1878, where he afterwards held the position of county and district clerk for many years. Several years ago they moved to Cadiz where they have since resided. A husband and three children, two sons, and a daughter are left to mourn her death, besides a large number of friends who knew and esteemed her as a neighbor, friend and consistently Christian woman. Funeral services were held at the home by Rev. Gardner of the Methodist Church at Oakville. Owing to the long illness of the deceased, necessitating to an early burial, notice of the hour of interment was not generally known in Beeville and many old friends of the family were thus prevented from showing their sympathy by attendance upon the obsequies, a fact which was very much regretted.
