ELLIS, Mrs. Sallie O., Beeville-Bee, 5 Jul 1901

Mrs. Sallie 0. ELLIS, wife of F. M. ELLIS, died at the family home several miles west of the city on 
Thursday, the 25th inst. at the age of 51 years. The funeral occurred on Friday afternoon, the 
interment taking place in the Beeville cemetery, attended by a large concourse of friends. 

The deceased was a native of Texas, her father being one of the earliest settlers of Harrison County.

From early childhood she had been a member of the Baptist church and led a life of a consistent and 
zealous Christian. Besides her husband who is thus deprived of the gentle companion of his declining 
years, and a little daughter 11 years old, who is thus robbed by the cruel hand of death of a mother's 
loving care, she leaves two brothers, Messrs. Augustus DUNN of Live Oak and Joseph DUNN of Corpus 
Christi, and a sister, Mrs. A. A. McCARTY, to mourn her loss.
