FOSTER, Mrs. Mary E., Beeville Bee, Friday, 21 Feb 1902: Mrs. Mary E. FOSTER, wife of J. M. Foster, died last Monday morning after an illness of several weeks, her funeral occurring on Tuesday, interment being made in the new cemetery. The deceased was in her fifty-fourth year, was a native of North Carolina. When a child her parents removed to Missouri, where she resided until after the war, in the meantime having married Jas. DICKENS, who took an active part in the War Between the States on the Confederate side. Shortly after the war they came to Texas, and resided for a number of years in Live Oak county, afterwards removing to Del Rio, where Mr. Dickens died. About three years ago she was united in marriage to Mr. Foster at Beeville and has since made her home in this city.
