GRAY, Mrs. Ella, Beeville Bee, Wednesday, 28 Jan 1891:

With deepest regret we record the death of Mrs. Ella Gray, late consort of J. W. Gray 
of this city.  She was the daughter of J. M. Lee, deceased and Mrs. M. E. Lee who survives 
her.  She was born in Beeville, March 21, 1870, baptized into the fellowship of the Baptist 
Church, August 7, 1887 and married to J. W. Gray, March 21, 1889, with whom she lived 
happily until January 11, 1891 at 11:20 AM, she passed away peaceful after a brief illness.  
She leaves a number of friends and relatives to mourn her besides an infant son to its 
tender care of a devoted husband and grief stricken mother.
