Our town and entire community are cast in deepest mourning over the sad 
news of the death of one of our oldest and most respected citizens.  At 2 am 
the sweet spirit of Mrs. HAYES, beloved wife of Judge W. R. Hayes, passed 
from this life leaving her aged husband and large family of children and 
grandchildren and a great host of friends.

Mrs. Hayes leaves a devoted husband, four daughters and two sons, and 
five grandchildren.
