HERMES, James Barry, Beeville Bee, Friday, 7 Aug 1903:

Late in the day, at 9 o'clock in the evening, another family in the city was bereft of a loved one. 
James Barry, the little son of Mr. and Mrs. James HERMFS, after an illness of a few days from 
membranous croup was freed from earthly pain and was called to its heavenly home. 

The funeral took place on Sunday afternoon, the interment being in the new cemetery and 
attended by a number of friends of the young parents, who deeply sympathize with them in their 
sad bereavement.
