Mrs. Matilda Hill Dead

Mrs. Matilda Hill, aged 43 years, 4 months and 23 days, died here last Friday morning at 
1:30 o'clock after a brief illness brought on through a fall down from a fence. Mrs. Hill 
died at the home of her daughter, Miss Fannie Lassiter. 

Besides Miss Lassiter, a daughter by a former husband, Mrs. Hill is survived by two 
daughters and one son, as follows; Mrs. Stella Lamoureux of near this city and Mrs. Dan 
Craps of Beaumont, and John Hill of Mississippi. Mrs. Hill owned a ranch on the Medio 
some eight miles north of this city and was well known to many Beeville people. 

The remains were laid to rest in Evergreen cemetery at 4 p. m. April 19th from the home 
of Miss Lassiter.
