HOARD, N. H., Beeville Bee, Friday, 16 Oct 1903:

N. H. HOARD, a resident of this city for the past three years, died Monday night after an illness of several 
weeks from a malignant type of malaria causing paralysis. 

The deceased was a son of John Hoard, one of the early settlers of Goliad County and has been a resident 
of this section all his life. Of late years he has been following the carpenter's trade and while at work in 
Calhoun County some months, contacted the malady which carried him off. A wife and four children survive 
him.
