HOLLIDAY, Mrs. M. A., Beeville Bee, Friday, 15 Feb 1901 Death of Mrs. M. A. HOLLIDAY, which occurred at the residence of her son in this city on Monday evening, was removed another of the earlier citizen of this county. The deceased was a native of Madison County, Tennessee, where she was born August 30, 1830. On April 2, 1846, she was married to Zachariah HOLLIDAY, and a few years afterwards moved with her husband to Texas and settled in DeWitt county, where they lived until 1874, when they moved to Bee county and located five or six miles west of Beeville. Mrs. Holliday made her home with her only surviving son, Thomas Holliday, now a resident of Beeville. Besides this son she leaves five daughters, all of whom are married, to mourn her death. Her eldest daughter, Mrs. Amanda DUNN, lives in San Patricio county; her third, Mrs. M. E. CROFT, in Johnson county, the fourth, Mrs. Nettie CROFT, in Atascosa county, and the last, Mrs. Nora BRITTON, in Arizona. Funeral services were held at the residence on Tuesday evening, being conducted by Rev. J. M. SALLEE of the Baptist church of which the deceased had been a member for fifty years, and the burial took place on Wednesday in the cemetery at Lebannon church in the western part of the county, beside the grave of her husband.
