HULL, J. C., Beeville Bee-Picayune, Thursday, 9 Dec 1937, page 8: Former Druggist In This City Buried. Hull Rites in Charge of Masonic Rites. Funeral rites for J. C. HULL, 84, were conducted by the Beeville Masonic Lodge at Glenwood Cemetery in this city Wednesday Afternoon at 4 o'clock. Mr. Hull, a former druggist and well known citizen of this city died at his home in San Antonio Tuesday and religious services were held there Wednesday morning. The body rested at Walker's Funeral Home Chapel after arrival here at 2:30 p. m. Mr. Hull was a resident of Beeville for a number of years establishing what is now the Atkinson Drug Store. The business was first located in the Otto Building now occupied by E. Bagley's Confectionery and was moved to its present location when the McCurdy building was completed. When Mr. Hull sold his business to T. T. Marsden and Paul Mueller in 1916, he moved with his family to San Antonio which has since been his residence and where he was engaged in business for a number of years. He had been in declining health for a long time but his fatal illness was brief. Surviving are 3 sons, Dr. A. 0. Huff Dr. J. C. Huff and Tom P. Huff: three sisters, Mrs. Ida Keeling, Mrs. Helen Nelson, and Mrs. Em McGaughy and four grandchildren.
