HYNES, John, Beeville Bee, Friday, 30 Jan 1903:

The remains of John HYNES, an old and well known resident of the coast 
recently, was brought from Rockport on Wednesday and transferred to 
Refugio for interment. 

His death occurred Tuesday after a long and painful illness. 

He was a grandson of one of the earliest settlers of Refugio for whom HYNES BAY, 
was named, and has numerous relatives among the residents of this section. 

Two of his sons, Messieurs. Albert and Phillip Hynes are residents of Beeville.
