Mrs. Fannie Ray Kauffman.  Though prepared for the Sad news by the long and hopeless illness 
of the departed were no less grieved to hear of the death which occurred in the home of her childhood.  
The ranch of her father, Mr. E. Ray, of Goliad County last Friday, the 15th inst.  She was laid to rest in 
the Goliad cemetery the following afternoon. The sequel of her happy marriage not yet a year ago is 
one of the saddest of life’s tragedies.
