He lived in Hallettsville until 1885, holding several county and city offices, when he moved to Edna, Jackson County, coming from there to Beeville in 1889. He leaves a wife, ten children, seven of whom are married, and fourteen grandchildren. The remains were laid to rest in the St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery Saturday.
