MILLER, Mrs. W. J., Beeville Bee, Friday, 26 Feb 1904: OBITUARY The death of Mrs. W. J. MILLER (nee Miss Sarah FRANKLIN) on last Monday evening came as a shock to her friends and many acquaintances of the family. She had retired early in the evening in apparently good health, and in fact had remarked to one of her married sons who had called in the evening that she had not felt better in years. About nine o'clock while conversing with her husband the sudden summons came and in a few minutes she was dead from heart disease. The deceased was a native of Goliad County where her parents were early settlers, and in the forty-eighth year of her age. On December 17th, 1878, she was united in marriage to W. J. MILLER, who with five sons and three daughters survive her and to whom she has been a most devoted helpmeet and mother. Moving to Beeville in 1887 from Nueces county, under her gentle influence she has seen five of her children grow to adolescence, become homekeepers and take their places in responsible positions, honored and respected by their fellow citizens. She was loved and esteemed for her many acts of kindness extended, as all true charity should, and in her death those living in her vicinity lose a kind and sympathetic friend and neighbor. The interment took place in the New Cemetery on Tuesday evening, the last sad rites being attended by many who thus expressed the sympathy they felt to the bereaved family.
