MOFFITT, Dr. T. C., Beeville Picayune, Friday, 17 May 1912: Dr. MOFFITT Dead. Dr. T. C. Moffitt, county health physician whose serious illness was chronicled in these columns last week, died Sunday morning at 1:30 o'clock and was laid to rest in the new cemetery that afternoon, a large number of friends attending the service. The going of this man was so sudden it can hardly be realized that he will no longer be around his usual haunts. All but a week it was early realized by the physicians that his condition was serious and after the 4th day little hope was entertained for his recovery. Cerebra Meningitis is given as the cause of death. He leaves a widow and one son, Green, age twelve, to mourn his loss and other relatives in Kentucky where at Murray, he was born 39 years ago. He was a graduate of the Ohio Medical College of Cincinnati and had practiced his profession fifteen years, the last six of which was spent in Beeville where he had built up a splendid practice. He was in Devine four years before coming to Beeville. he Picayune extends sympathy to the bereaved. Dr. Mofffitt had $500 insurance in the Woodsmen of the World Order.
