McGUIRE, John, Beeville Bee, Wednesday, 18 Mar 1891:

Last Friday morning at half past 2 o’clock, at his residence in the second building from the 
Picayune office, John McGuire, proprietor of the late “Green Front” saloon breathed his last 
from an affection of the brain caused by excessive drinking.  He was buried in the Beeville 
Cemetery in the afternoon of the same day he died.   He was a native of Ireland, thirty two 
years of age and leaves a wife.  He has been a resident of Beeville about 2 years, coming 
here from Colorado County.
