Dr. James L. Nunnelly, a native of Kymulga, Alabama, age 47 years, 2 months and 
26 days, died at the Central Hotel in this city of pneumonia after an illness of three 
weeks. Dr. Nunnelly came to Texas a few years ago from Alabama, settling at 
Clareville, Bee County, Texas. He removed from there a few months ago to Tibolla, 
Refugio County and was brought to Victoria from there for treatment during his last 
illness. 

Dr. Nunnelly gave promise of attaining great eminence as a physician and at the time 
of his death had acquired a reputation in the practice of his profession. He was a man 
of the noblest character and all who knew him will be deeply grieved to learn of his death. 
He is survived by his wife Virginia and little daughter, Bettie. (1865-1913)
