O'NEAL, R. L., Beeville Bee, Friday, 7 Feb 1902:

R. L. O'NEAL, a well-known resident of the vicinity of Mineral City, died last Saturday evening 
after a brief illness. The deceased was in the 63rd year of his age and had been a resident of 
Bee County for about ten years, coming here from McMullen County. He was a native Texan 
and a Confederate Veteran and had lived in Matagorda County before removing to McMullen 
County. 

He was known as a good neighbor and honest upright citizen.  

A wife and six children survive him. He was the only surviving uncle of the Messrs. PARTAIN 
brothers of this city.
