O'NEILL, Mrs. Sallie, Beeville Picayune, Friday, 27 Dec 1912, Front Page: Mrs. Sallie O'Neill, mother of Mrs. I. T. Williams of this city, died Monday morning at the home of her daughter after a brief illness. She was quite aged and was preceded to the Great Beyond by her husband, George O'Neill several years. The remains were taken to Cadiz for internment Tuesday morning. A suitable obituary will be published in these columns next week. Beeville Picayune, Friday, 3 Jan 1913: Mrs. Sallie O'Neill was born in Charleston, South Carolina, July 23, 1841 and moved with her parents to Texas in her childhood. The family settled in Gonzales County where she married on July 28, 1859 to G. W. O'Neill. With her husband she moved to Beeville soon after and resided here during the war, later moving to Gonzales. In 1876, they moved to Live Oak County where they lived until 1905 then moved to Beeville. Her husband died here on February 9, 1906. Since that time Mrs. O'Neill has made her home with her children at different places, but most of the time here with her daughter, Mrs. J. I. Williams, where she died Monday, December 23, 1912. Eight children were born to Mr. and Mrs. O'Neill, four boys and four girls One of the girls died in infancy. The others present during her illness and death except James who resides in Arkansas. Mrs. O'Neill had a bright mind and was loved by all who knew her for her sweet Christian life.
