O'TOOLE, Martin, Beeville Weekly Picayune, Friday, 10 Aug 1897, pg 8:

The death of Martin O'Toole removes from our midst one of the oldest citizens of the 
county. Mr. O'Toole came to the Aransas (where his brother-in-law, Mr. Corrigan settled) 
in 1829, which place has always been his home, though occasionally he would be away 
for a while. Mr. O'Toole was well known by all the older citizens, and he enjoyed the 
confidence and respect of all. He was an upright, honest, honorable gentleman, a 
consistent member of the Catholic Church. He leaves a host of friends and relatives to 
mourn his death.
