Died of consumption at his residence in this city at 9:30 PM Saturday, January 9, Robert E. Ragland, 
age 24.  No death in Beeville has occurred that elicits more sympathy than the above.  A quondam 
resident of this city for the past three years, Robert E. Ragland was well and favorably known to all.  
His death is made doubly sad by the fact that his happy married life was blessed with a child only 
the day before his demise.
