Dudley, the only son of Mr. and Mrs. M. M. RANSOM, died. He had been ill for nearly three 
weeks with rheumatism and fever. His mother being a widow, her husband having died 
some eight years previous. Besides his widowed mother, Dudley leaves four sisters to mourn 
him

Robert Dudley Ransom was born at Refugio in November 1891 and at the time of his death 
was 13 years and 8 months.
