RUSSEK, Joseph, Beeville Bee, Wednesday, 8 Oct 1890:

In the death of Joseph Russek of Skidmore, South West Texas and especially Bee County loses 
one of its most valuable citizens.  Although a resident of this county but a short time his worth 
was readily seen by those among whom he had come to live and his merits were appreciated to 
their fullest extent. In connection with his brother he has been an important agent in inducing 
immigration to the county.  He leaves numerous friends here to regret his death and sympathize 
with his family in their sad affections.
