Beeville Picayune, Thursday, 19 March 1914, page 3: Mrs. Seymour Dead Mary Irene SEYMOUR, aged 45 years, 1 month and 6 days, died at her home here Wednesday morning, March 18, 1914, at 8 o'clock, after an illness extending over several months. The remains were laid to rest in Glenwood cemetery beside those of her husband, Dr. F. B. SEYMOUR, this morning at 10 o'clock, the religious services being held at the residence and the last sad rites at the grave were witnessed by a large number of sorrowing relatives and friends. Mrs. Seymour is survived by five children, four daughters and one son. They are Misses Bessie, Anita, Mona and Roberta, and Forest B., all residing here. She is also survived by her father, W. B. HATCH of Papalote, three brothers - George, Will and Bert - and one sister, Mrs. Oswell SKIDMORE of Alice. She was the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. B. HATCH and grew to young womanhood at Papalote, where she met Dr. F. B. SEYMOUR when he was a young physician and located at Skidmore. Mrs. SEYMOUR was a member of Beeville Chapter, No. 422, Eastern Star, and was secretary of the order at the time of her death. She was also a past matron. She was a splendid, Christian woman, loved by all who knew her and her death has cast a shadow over the city, and the deep sympathy of friends is extended to the orphaned children in this, their saddest hour.
