SKAGGS, H. B., Beeville Bee, Thursday, 11 Oct 1888:

H. B. Skaggs, a resident of this section for the past thirteen years, and a native of Georgia, 
died at his home near Beeville on the 7th, inst. of inflammation of the spine.  Deceased was 
28 years of age and leaves a wife and one child to mourn the loss of a husband and father.
