SMITH, Mrs. Harriet Amanda, Beeville Bee, Friday, 6 Jun 1902:

Mrs. Harriet Amanda SMITH, (nee BOYD), wife of M. P. SMITH, died in San Antonio on Friday, May 30th 
after an illness of several months. Her remains arrived on Saturday, the funeral taking place Sunday 
afternoon from the Presbyterian Church of which she had been a faithful member. 

The deceased was a native of Tennessee having been born in Jonesboro in that state March 28, 1835. 
On March 26, 1856, she was united in marriage to Mr. M. P. SMITH, who together with six children, survive 
her. 

In 1892 they moved from Tennessee to Beeville, their oldest son A. P. Smith having preceeded them 
six or seven years before.
