THAMES, Mrs. R. B., Beeville Bee, Friday, 3 Jun 1904:

News was received this week of the death at Luling on the 25th ult., of Mrs. R. B. THAMES, 
a former resident of this county.  The deceased was the wife of the well-known Baptist 
minister who made his home for thirty years or more in the vicinity of Skidmore, and was 
a lady esteemed by all her neighbors for her many Christian virtues.  

She leaves a husband and eight children to mourn her death.  Mrs. I. C. MADRAY, of 
Skidmore, is the only member of the family now residing in the county.  She was called to 
see her mother a week or two before death and was with her in her closing hours.
