THOMASSON, Mrs. Ella, Beeville Bee, Friday, 29 May 1908: Mrs. J. O. Thomasson News of the death of Mrs. J. O. THOMASSON served as a severe shock to her many friends in Beeville. Leaving here Wednesday, May 20th, looking as well as she ever did in her life it was hard for them to believe that she lay a corpse Saturday at noon, in the hosptial at Dallas. A stomache trouble had been a complaint for some time and an operation was thought necessary, but no result fatal was expected. The operation was performed Saturday and at noon she wa dead. On account of the washouts and floods in Dallas and north Texas the remains did not reach Beeville until 5:20 Wednesday the 27th and interment was not made until yesterday. On account of the absence of the husband and no data at hand we cannot mention the death of this woman in as lengthy an article as we would like. We know that she was a Christian woman, a member of the Methodist church, loved and respected by those who knew her best, her neighbors. By a former marriage she was the mother of three children, two of whom are grown boys survive her. Five children came to bless her union with Mr. Thomasson, four of whom are living. They are Otis, May, Florence and George. Mrs. Thomasson's maiden name was Miss Ella DOTSON, and she was born in Florence, Alabama. At the time of her death she was 46 years, four months and twelve days old.
